The True Abilities of Your Subconscious Mind
It doesn't take a genius to figure out the potential power of one's mind. Even back in the 1980s when the 'Say No to Drugs' campaign surfaced, people were trying to change problematic teen life into something better. Do you remember the old slogan, 'The mind is a terrible thing to waste,' and the accolades it received?
Have you heard about the Law of Attraction? In the last five years it has been a popular topic that has transformed the live of several people around the world. The goal behind it is to help you understand that we can all manipulate our minds into creating reality. In fact, some people have even blamed their subconscious mind on negative actions hoping it would lighten their sentences in a court room.
Have you heard of the Placebo Effect? It's a great study about the way your mind works and how it can affect the body in a positive or negative matter. When these are performed, there are two separate groups that receive medication. Group A will get the real deal, and Group B will get a placebo. This will allow researchers to observe both parties and see how their bodies react. It's amazing when you see a person take a placebo and all of the sudden they get over their ailment. They've had no medicine whatsoever, but just a positive thought process in the subconscious mind.
Do you need more proof? Okay, well just think about all those days that weren't the best. How many of them started out bad because you didn't think it was going to be a good day? It happens all the time and trust us when we say it is not a coincidence. In fact, you need to understand that everything happens for a reason, and it's all because of your mind.
This thought process works its way into quantum physics. What quantum physics teaches us is that you create the energy that surrounds. Without going into a deep technical answer, the short version is that you create everything around you. In fact, it tells us that the observer is the one that creates matter and energy, which is what your world is made up of today.
Unfortunately it's not as simple as it seems. Take for instance the person who wants to lose weight. You spend 24 hours a day fighting off those thoughts in your head that say, 'Well if I only have one it will be okay.' Eventually one of them hits home and you find yourself off your diet. It's definitely not a fun situation, but with the proper training you can overcome these obstacles.
Now, the problems you'll have to deal with all revolve around you. Those inner voice thoughts will be negative and positive in the beginning. So it's your job to decide on what you're going to listen to and take advantage of each day. Are you going to go with the negative flow and stay in your rut? The decision is up to you, but it will take a little effort.
What we want you to do right now is come up with your next goal. It doesn't matter what it is really, except we do suggest you start out with something easily attainable. In fact, let's talk about your work day. Your goal is going to be to stay positive throughout the day, even when things just aren't going so well. If you spill the coffee, shrug it off and realize it could have been worse. Someone driving too slow in front of you, then there has to be a reason for it.
One thing to keep in mind is that you're going to be hearing all kinds of thoughts throughout the day. This will cause the first few instances to be difficult when focusing on a positive matter like your next goal. Even though you might be telling yourself this is going to happen, there will be a host of other inner voices telling you why it's a mistake. Don't worry; it's normal and just part of your training.
Seriously, when you go to bed tonight, start telling yourself that tomorrow is going to be a good day. We even suggest writing a few notes that can be placed on your clock, on the bathroom mirror, the closet where the towels are, the fridge, your car, and anywhere else you visit regularly in your home. Then when you wake up in the morning and hit the snooze button, you'll feel that posty-note that reads, 'Today is going to be a good day.' The domino effect will begin and you'll find yourself living your life in a positive matter. Oh, and if something doesn't go the way it was supposed, just put a positive spin on it. For instance, if you spill your coffee just remember that everything happens for a reason. It could be the difference between hitting all the green lights to work or stopping because they're all red.
Even if you want to purchase a new home you'll have to plan. Finding different mortgage rates, checking the neighborhood safety, school district, and figuring out the how much money you'll need are all important factors. Then all of the sudden that dream home goes up on the market. The process to purchase it ends up being much easier then if you would have just kept on dreaming.
When it's all said and done you just need to take control. It's amazing that something such as giving yourself affirmation can make all the difference.
