Understanding All About Mindpower
Some experts believe that we actually only use about 10% of our total mind power capacity. Imagine what would happen if you could actually access the dormant and remaining 90%. We could see literally incredible results.
Scientists have long thought that those with so-called 'extrasensory' or psychic powers have these powers simply because they can access their minds more fully than most people can. It may be that they have been born with the increased capacity in their minds, or they've been able to develop these powers later on.
The process itself is not fully understood, but quantum physics' latest advances have indeed begun to shed some light on the connection between what we experience in life and what we think.
Recently, scientific studies have begun to verify what many ancient religions have said for thousands of years. That is, your reality is simply a result of your own mind. If you change how you think, you can change what you experience as reality. And in fact, mind power itself is truly the only reality present.
Recently popular films like 'The Secret' explain what is called the Law of Attraction; the theory behind the Law of Attraction is that 'as you think, so shall you be.' Change the way you see things and use your mind's innate power, and you can literally attract anything you want into your life, whether it be monetary abundance or other positive plenty.
If you haven't heard of it before, the Law of Attraction works on a 'cause-effect' basis. In other words, what you think about is what you will get. If you communicate with your subconscious mind and clarify what you want, you can control the results you get. If you don't do this, the universe will assume that you want to keep everything as it is, which is otherwise known as 'homeostasis.'
Therefore, your subconscious mind not only controls the ESP powers you have, like precognition, remote viewing, or telepathy, but it also interacts directly with the universe or the 'universal consciousness,' to manifest what it is you experience, including your desires.
Affirmations:- By repeating affirmations to ourselves, they eventually reach the subconscious which then changes your behavior to make the desired outcome a reality. You can use affirmations to break bad habits with affirmations like 'I hate junk food and never eat anything bad for my health'. You could also increase your self esteem by using an affirmation along the lines of 'I am a valuable person who people look to as a role model'.
Practicing affirmations:- You probably know what an affirmation is, which is to say it's a positive phrase. Repeat it to yourself several times a day and eventually your subconscious 'gets the message' and your reality changes to match your affirmation.
So let's say you need more self esteem. You might say something to the effect of, 'I have very well-developed self-esteem,' or, 'I am very confident.' Eventually, as you repeat this phrase to yourself often enough, your subconscious mind comes to believe it and corrects your poor self-esteem. You may also use affirmations to change bad habits, so for example, you can say, 'I eat a healthy diet and enjoy my food,' to change a propensity to snack on junk food to one where you crave healthy food, for example.
Used consistently and repeatedly, affirmations really do work to change the messages your subconscious mind integrates. By communicating directly with your subconscious mind, you tell it something different and slowly over time, it believes it. And ultimately, of course, this different belief also makes you behave differently.
Now, take this one stage further and realize that whatever you want to change will, not just bad habits or heartfelt desires, but absolutely everything. This is truly mind power.
Using visualization:- Visualization is another technique that you can use to develop your mind power. With visualization, you imagine what you want to happen and visualize it in your mind's eye. Visualize your success and having everything you've ever wanted. Do you want a new car? Visualize it. A new house? Visualize it. You can also make a scrapbook of sorts before you visualize, putting into it pictures of things that you want to manifest in your life. The scrapbook can help you focus. Keep visualizing on a consistent basis and the things you want will really appear for you.
Visualization also works if you want to develop psychic powers within yourself. You can visualize yourself engaging in telepathy to communicate, you can foresee the future, or you can practice remote viewing. If you use mind power, eventually, what you want to happen is going to happen.
Practicing hypnosis:- You can also communicate with your subconscious mind through hypnosis. One way to do this is to visit a hypnotherapist or professional hypnotist. When you do so, the therapist will make sure you are very relaxed and will then make suggestions to your subconscious mind that will be remembered when you come out of the hypnosis.
You can also try practicing self hypnosis. With this, one of the easiest ways to do it is to listen to a tape of a hypnotherapist or hypnotist going through a session. This is less expensive than a live session, and you can also listen to it as many times as you want.
Participate in brainwave entrainment:- Brainwave entrainment is a new audio technology that utilizes brainwave synchronization. With brainwave entrainment, your brainwaves are changed to a certain frequency and therefore bring about positive changes. For example, one frequency change can help you improve your memory, while another may release endorphins to help you feel better, soothe pain, and even heal.
Other frequencies can help you attain a meditative state quite quickly so that you can communicate with your subconscious mind and therefore further facilitate the development of mind power.
