The Art Of Mindpower
Some experts believe that we actually only use about 10% of our total mind power capacity. Imagine what would happen if you could actually access the dormant and remaining 90%. We could see literally incredible results.
Scientists have long thought that those with so-called 'extrasensory' or psychic powers have these powers simply because they can access their minds more fully than most people can. It may be that they have been born with the increased capacity in their minds, or they've been able to develop these powers later on.
The process is not well understood, but quantum physics' latest advances have begun to show us what the link may be between we think and what we actually experience as part of our daily lives.
Recently, scientific studies have begun to verify what many ancient religions have said for thousands of years. That is, your reality is simply a result of your own mind. If you change how you think, you can change what you experience as reality. And in fact, mind power itself is truly the only reality present.
Books about the law of attraction such as 'The Secret' discuss how mindpower can be used to make changes in people's lives. Some think that this principle can be applied to make changes in the world around us as well as in our own lives.
If you haven't seen it before, the Law of Attraction focuses on a 'cause and effect' relationship between us and the universe, for everything we do. Whatever you think about, in other words, you're going to get. However, if you communicate with your subconscious and tell it what you want, things can change. If you don't, your subconscious assumes that you want everything to stay just as it is now, otherwise known as 'homeostasis.'
The key to increasing your mindpower is to make a link of communication between your conscious mind and the subconscious. There are several ways to establish this communication and through it, develop your mindpower.
The key to developing your own mind power is to communicate directly with your subconscious mind and make sure it's 'in sync' with what you want. How do you do this, though? There are several ways you can do this.
Use affirmations:- Affirmations simply mean that you repeat a positive phrase several times a day to yourself, and eventually, your subconscious mind picks up on this and integrates the message into a fully formed belief.
So let's say you need more self esteem. You might say something to the effect of, 'I have very well-developed self-esteem,' or, 'I am very confident.' Eventually, as you repeat this phrase to yourself often enough, your subconscious mind comes to believe it and corrects your poor self-esteem. You may also use affirmations to change bad habits, so for example, you can say, 'I eat a healthy diet and enjoy my food,' to change a propensity to snack on junk food to one where you crave healthy food, for example.
Done consistently and repetitiously, affirmations do indeed work to change the behavior at hand. Affirmations work by communicating directly with your subconscious mind, which ultimately changes what your subconscious mind actually does for you. In short, it ultimately makes you behave and think differently.
If you take this a stage further, you can realize that ultimately, anything you want to change can change, not just behaviors you might want to change, but anything that currently occurs in your reality. This is truly mind power at its best.
Practice using visualization:- Visualization is another method by which you can develop your mind power. With visualization, you simply close your eyes and imagine what you want to happen. Your subconscious mind is very, very tuned into images or pictures. Therefore, visualize yourself being successful in having everything you've ever wanted. For example, if you want a new house or car, visualize getting those things. A scrapbook may help you with your visualization; placed pictures of everything you want to manifest in the scrapbook and then focus on that scrapbook when you do your visualizations. Do this consistently and you'll see the things you want begin to show up in your life.
You can also visualize yourself with psychic abilities. You may visualize yourself using telepathy to communicate, to be able to see into the future, or do remote viewing. If you use mind power, you can literally cause anything you want to happen.
Using hypnosis:- Hypnosis is another way that you can communicate with your subconscious and therefore tap into the awesome power of your mind. You can visit a professional hypnotherapist or hypnotist. The hypnotist will guide you into a deeply relaxed state and then offer suggestions to your subconscious mind that will help you change bad behaviors or beliefs, or introduce good ones. And contrary to popular belief, you'll remember what has happened to you in your trancelike state even after you have come back to your normal state.
You can also try to do what's called 'self hypnosis.' Here, you can listen to a tape recording of a hypnotist who is guiding you through a particular session. This has some advantages to live hypnotherapy sessions, in that you can listen to it over and over again, and it's also quite cost effective as compared to live hypnotherapy sessions.
Using brainwave entrainment:- A new audio technology has recently introduced. Called 'brainwave synchronization,' this alters your brainwave to a certain frequency, which can result in many positive changes. For example, you may improve your memory with one frequency, while with another one, you can encourage endorphins to be released into your body that can therefore alleviate and even heal pain.
Since these powers are innate in all of us, mindpower is not developed so much as it is unlocked and allowed to take its rightful place in our lives. There are great things which we can do -as long as we can tap into the 90% of our minds which normally go unused.
