Minds are like great big magnets. They can have a positive attraction and a negative attraction. What you think about, what makes you feel strongly, is what you pull into your life, and this principle is called the Law of Attraction. If you believe in something strongly enough, you'll help make it happen, and this can become the key to reaching the best life possible.
Everyone can use this to their advantage. The problem is most of us lack the ability to believe we can do it. Probably one of the funniest statistics about the mind out there is that humans only use about 10% of their brain power. Visualization is the key to tapping your unused mental powers. This powerful technique is simple to describe, but runs counter to most people's native skepticism: Visualize the success you want to have and work backwards to visualize the steps you need to go to to make that success happen.
Visualization is easy. All it requires is for you to sit quietly and begin to create images and pictures in your mind of those things you want to bring into reality. It helps bring these images into your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is what will actually bring these images to life. Make sure the images you hold in your mind are positive images. Think a little bit about how you actually want your life before you begin your visualization practice.

While you're doing this start visualizing the situation in a positive manner. Again, you need to do visualize it throughout the day as much as possible so it will eventually become a reality. Another way to increase your mind power is through the use of affirmations. Affirmations are statements you make to lift your spirits. They are always positive and always make you feel good. As you repeat them you feel encouraged and positive about life. This exercise will help you fell positive about life. For example you may want to lose weight. So you tell yourself throughout the day such things as, I am so happy that I will be 10 pounds thinner by the end of the month. You state it as if you expect it to be true and it will be true. If you feel uncomfortable at first, don’t worry. After repeating the exercise for 28 days it will become a habit.
More advanced techniques for harnessing your mind power including using the psycho-audial link, through brainwave entrainment. Your subconscious mind will read certain patterns of audio frequencies, first used by Tibetan monks as part of their meditation rituals, as the key to unlocking better health and healing, improved concentration abilities and greatly expanded memories. This is an advanced technique, and it can work wonders if you let it.
A frequently used method to expand mind power is hypnosis. Hypnosis is used to relax the body and open up access to the subconscious mind. It has been used as an effective treatment to help people quit smoking. Through repeated sessions, a person sits and relaxes as someone tells them over and over that they are ready to quit smoking, that they no longer have the desire to smoke, and that they can and will quit smoking. They are convinced in their subconscious mind that they can quit and so they do.
As can be seen, everyone has mind power. It's a matter of belief in what one can do, with their own abilities and positive affirmations. You can use this ability to change your circumstances and rewrite your future to one you want to see happen. It won't happen over night, and it takes some repetition to make it all work, but the effort pays off in the end.
