Mind Power Throughout History
It doesn't matter how old you are in today's world, the mind has unlimited power. However, before you can take advantage of it you're going to have to understand the way it works. Think of it as a new project that needs to be completed, except this time you're going to be changing your life. Just remember to do it in a positive manner and keep the negative thoughts from surfacing in you mind. Keep in mind this is going to take some practice, but we'll explain that in a little bit.
We only use about 10% of our minds. It is hard to believe that so much of it is being wasted every day of our lives. We do things the easy way, the way that appears right in front of us not realizing how powerful our minds really are. We complain that our lives are hard and unfulfilling because we do not believe that anything good can happen to us. Because we think negatively we attract more of the same into our lives and create what we don’t want. What we think is what our life becomes.
In reality, you have more control over your life with your mind than you think. Whatever you've accomplished this far has been the result of your mind power, your willingness to work, and your positive attitude; even good fortune comes to you because of your mind power. If you want something better out of life, you just have to visualize it…and this works in reverse, too. People who expect the worst, get the worst.
There are some things you can begin to do today to use your mind power more fully. One way to do this is through visualization. Visualization is a powerful tool that can have a noticeable impact on your day to day life. In the process it will expand your mind power and enhance your ability to bring the things you want into your life.
Visualization is easy. All it requires is for you to sit quietly and begin to create images and pictures in your mind of those things you want to bring into reality. It helps bring these images into your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is what will actually bring these images to life. Make sure the images you hold in your mind are positive images. Think a little bit about how you actually want your life before you begin your visualization practice.
Another way to build up visualizations and positive mental images is to write a narration to yourself, like a story. Open up a piece of paper and write down the goals you want to achieve, and focus on them. Work backwards from the goal to what needs to happen immediately before accomplishing it. Create your visions out of those steps. Writing things down also imprints it, and makes it harder to forget.
Then of course our favorite is using affirmations. It's not something that is hard to do, and are actually only positive bits of encouragement. It really doesn't matter what it's about as long as it's positive and you continue to do it. An easy example is losing weight. If you encourage yourself to lose eight pounds by the end of the month, then you will. Positive things will happen if you think positive. Just remember it also works the same way with negative thoughts.
Another process that is a more advanced procedure is using brainwave entertainment. It's where you sit back, relax, and channel your thoughts through sound frequencies. Now, there are many ways to do this so you need to figure out what works best for you. We love to share this with those who are sick or have serious conditions. Since the mind is one of the best healing units we have as people, some individuals need to crack open its potential in a hurry. This is why you see cancer survivors always talking about staying positive and not letting the word 'cancer' scare them. Just remember this is something that needs to be done after you've understood the beginning stages of unleashing your mind to its fullest potential.
Some of you may even enjoy things like Hypnosis to get that mind power flowing. A great example of this is when people want to quit smoking. They've tried Nicorette, prescription drugs, cold turkey, and everything else under the sun to no avail. So when all else fails, the next step is Hypnosis. All you do is go to a session, relax, and listen to someone tell you the same thing over and over again. Eventually they get the person to believe in themselves and convince them they can kick the habit. The mind is simply a wonderful thing if you know how to open it up.
All you have to do is believe that you can do something and you will be able to do it. Everyone has mind power. It may not happen as quickly as you like, but you can begin to turn your life around bit by bit. You simply have to believe that what you put out into the universe in the form of positive energy will come back to you as positive energy. It all begins within the subconscious mind.
