Minds are like magnets, and yours is a powerful one. What it thinks and sees, it will eventually attract; this relationship between the mind and reality is called the Law of Attraction, and it's one of the greatest manifestations in the world of the mind altering reality. You can use the Law of Attraction to change your personal fortune, and your relationship with money. It's about the power of belief and believing that something good will happen rather than letting life roll you downstream like a pebble in the current.
Everyone can use this to their advantage. The problem is most of us lack the ability to believe we can do it. Probably one of the funniest statistics about the mind out there is that humans only use about 10% of their brain power. So somewhere in there is 90% that just kind of hangs out for the next big wave. Actually, the reason behind this is that people hate change. Most of us just enjoy keeping things as simple as possible without exerting our minds to their highest potential.
What happens within your mind creates the reality before you. What you now have in your life is the result of what your mind has been able to conceive. Visualization is done by sitting quietly and using your mind to imagine all of the things you would like to have in your world. Let your mind create picture images of those things. Do these several times a day until it begins to feel so real that you begin to believe in your dreams.
Affirmations are another excellent means of increasing your mind power. An affirmation is a positive statement you make about your life as you go through your day. They are statements that encourage you and they can be about anything as long as they are positive. Using an affirmation to increase the power of your mind to bring about weight loss will look something like this: It will feel so good to be 10 pounds thinner by the end of the month. As you state what you expect to be true, it will eventually become true. It may feel a bit uncomfortable at first but if you do anything consistently for 28 days it becomes a habit.
One training process that can be interesting is the use of brainwave entertainment. This is where you listen to some sort of audio frequencies to change those thoughts in your mind to positive ones. The mind is one of the best healing utilities your body has and if you can train the mind properly, you can increase this relentlessly. Maybe you've spent the last couple years forgetting more than you're remembering and need a little memory boost. If you use brainwave entertainment, then it will open up that mind power. The only problem about this avenue is that it's an advanced procedure and should only be done after you perfect those beginning stages.
